About
I’m Adrian Clarke—a spiritual counselor and the author of Living Hell – Living Heaven, a book born from my own journey through awakening: through the dark, the luminous, and all the in between spaces where truth begins to emerge.
I’ve been on the spiritual path for almost 25 years, with the same amount of time sober. I’ve tried to build my life around discipline, integrity, and hard work - both as an ironworker and as someone navigating the path of recovery and Kundalini.
I was born in Belfast, Ireland in 1974. I grew up in the West of the city through the infamous Troubles. From early childhood, my path was filled with challenges, some of them leaving indelible images on my psyche well into adulthood. At 26 years old, I got sober in a 12 step program, closing the door on a very bad drinking problem.
Unexpectedly in 2007, something within me shifted. I began experiencing phenomena I couldn’t explain - energetic surges, emotional extremes, and a sense that something deep within me was waking up.
By 2011, it all exploded. I had no context, no language for what was happening. This wasn’t the idea of a spiritual path I had been seeking - but it’s the one that sought me. What followed was a long, often painful unraveling. It eventually revealed to be a full blown Kundalini awakening.
It took time to find the right information and even longer to find others who understood. I’ve walked through terror, confusion, fear and disorientation, but also through moments of profound insight and grace.
My Purpose
Based in New York for a quarter of a century, I offer what Ive learned not as an expert - but as someone who’s been there, This path has taught me that awakening is about transcendence, evolution, being moved to a place to live more honestly, more humbly, and more rooted in what’s real.
For over 15 years, I’ve walked this path, learning from various Shamans, healers and teachers, to many to mention. They’ve all helped e peel back layers of my psyche - grief, shame, identity structures I didn't know I was carrying - and in the process, I found something simple but profound. What’s real was hiding in plane sight.
My own awakening wasn’t blissful. It was raw, it dismantled me. And in the rubble, I discovered that the point of this journey isn’t perfection - its honesty and uncovering the truth of who and what I really am. Its about living a life of authenticity.
Now, I work with people experiencing their own spiritual emergencies - especially those going through intense or traumatic awakenings, often of the Kundalini kind. When the old beliefs and old life starts to fall away, it can send people into a state of fight or flight, and it can be really terrifying.
I can help people get grounded, and try to make some sense of what’s happening to them. I am not here to fix you. I am here to walk beside you, so you can begin to live from what’s truly alive underneath all the noise.
Service
At the heart of my work is one intention:
To support people in coming home to themselves.
Whether you’re facing a sudden spiritual shift, navigating Kundalini activation, or feeling disconnected from who you thought you were—I’m here to remind you that this, too, is part of the path.
I offer grounded, heart-centered support through one-on-one conversations, energy-focused guidance, or simply holding space for growth.
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Some come once, others regularly, and some seek support in moments of confusion or fear. You’re welcome regardless of your arrival.
Living Hell – Living Heaven
Awakening is not an escape—it’s an arrival.
In Living Hell – Living Heaven, I share my personal journey through the highs and lows of spiritual awakening—from the terrifying, unexplainable moments of unraveling to the glimpses of clarity that offered real peace.
This book is for anyone who’s felt like their spiritual path was leading them somewhere, only to find themselves lost in the weeds. It’s a reflection on what it really means to wake up in a modern world, with a nervous system, a job, a family, and a mind that doesn’t always cooperate.
Inside, I explore:
The myths and truths of Kundalini awakenings
How unresolved trauma shows up in the awakening process
The difference between spiritual bypassing and real integration
What it means to live from authenticity—not identity
Living Hell – Living Heaven is not a manual. It’s a mirror. A reminder that even the most chaotic inner journey can lead us to something whole.
